Scheduling FAQ
When will I be able to save my seat for the Catan qualifier, roleplaying game session, or other event?
- Mid-Late January – event schedule available for internal review by organizers and volunteers
- Early February – event schedule finalized, published on TCTC site
- February 13 – patrons able to sign up for 3 sessions
- February 20 – patrons get another 3 sessions / non-patrons get 3 sessions
- February 27 – all remaining seats open for signups; no restrictions in place – waitlist temporarily available
- March 6 – waitlist dropped
Why is the waitlist being dropped on March 6?
The waitlist is useful during the initial signup period as people fine-tune their schedules. But during convention weekend, it ends up adding to confusion and no-shows. That’s why we’ll switch to in-person waitlists at the event.
Won’t Patrons take all the seats for the high-demand events during early signup?
Almost certainly not. We have offered Patron tickets with advanced signups for 4 years now, and only once has a game session filled up due to Patrons. That’s one event out of hundreds, across multiple years. So don’t worry – there’s a LOT of fun stuff for everyone to do at TCTC!
