Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question not answered here? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re happy to help!
I have a 2020 ticket. What are my options?
2020 tickets have been rolled over to use at our 2023 event. If you are unable to attend 2023, please email us at email@example.com and we will roll over your ticket to 2024. The deadline to do this is January 31, 2023.
Can kids attend?
Absolutely! Children and youth are very welcome at TCTC.
- Children 10 and under are free to attend with a parent/guardian who has purchased a TCTC ticket (max two children per ticket please).
- Children 12 and under must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian who is a registered attendee of TCTC.
- Youth aged 13 to 17 must have a parent or guardian in the convention space at all times. All parents/guardians must be registered attendees of TCTC.
Can I pickup my ticket ahead of time?
All pre-purchased tickets can only be picked up at the door.
If I don’t have a ticket, can I still attend the used marketplace or silent auction?
No, you are required to have a valid ticket.
I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?
We do not issue refunds for tickets. We are happy to transfer your ticket to someone else though!
Schedule & Sched
I have purchased my ticket. How do I get added to the Sched?
We have to manually invite folks to Sched, so there may be a delay between when you purchase your ticket and when you get your Sched invite.
Hosting a board game
What does hosting a game entail?
You should be comfortable enough with the game to teach others. You don’t need to be an expert, and you do have the rule book you can verify rules. You can just teach the game and hangout with the players, or you can teach and play too!
Do I bring my own games or can I borrow these from the library during my sessions?
Either option works! If you want to borrow our copy, make sure you verify it’s in the library. If the “Code” starts with “PL” that game is owned by TCTC. If the “Code” starts with “PE” that means it has been borrowed from a personal collection, so email us to make sure it will be at the convention. Make sure you go to the lending library first thing after you register, to ensure they have it set aside for you around the time you need it.
My sessions are back to back. Just in case, should I space them further apart?
When you submit a session, you pick the window you want it to start and the duration of the game. We will always put them at least 30 min apart as games can run long, plus setup/cleanup can take time, and everything else. If you want a larger gap between them, just leave it in the comments of the submission form.
