Become a Board Game Host

How to become a Board Game Host at TCTC
Every event must be submitted for approval. We will review your submission(s) and either approve or reject them. Regardless of the outcome, we will get back to you!
Each game will be assigned a timeslot and a table location within the Scheduled Games area.
We communicate with our GMs primarily through Discord and email. You can join the TCTC Discord server here, and message Olive (@webziez) or Andrew (@_musht_) to be given the Volunteer role.
The setup
How Scheduled Games work
If your game is approved, we will assign it a specific time and table in our Scheduled Games area.
We will also include it in the convention schedule on our website and on the Cardboard Connect app. Other attendees will be able to register for seats at your event when the convention schedule goes live in February.
On the day of the event, you will need to arrive 15 minutes early to check in, set up, and welcome the other players – then let the games begin!
The Scheduled Games Area
The Scheduled Games Area features tables and chairs in a range of configurations. Most are standard 6-8 foot tables arranged in rows, but round tables, large squares, and other combinations are also available. All tables come with black tablecloths. Please note in your application if your game will need a non-standard table configuration.
Unfortunately electricity is not available in this area; if your game requires technology of some sort, please charge up in advance and consider bringing a battery pack.
Your responsibilities
If selected to host a game at TCTC, we ask that you do the following:
- Learn the game that you described in your application well enough to teach it with confidence.
- Check in at the Scheduled Games desk at least 15 minutes before your game’s scheduled start time.
- Ensure that you and your players adhere to our Code of Conduct at all times.
