Used Marketplace

The popular TCTC Used Marketplace is back for another year! Get some new-to-you games or sell games that you no longer play.

The marketplace will be held on Saturday, March 11 from 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. (Formerly the Used Game Silent Auction and the Bring & Buy Auction).

How It Works

  • We will only accept items on Saturday from 9:00 am until 11:30 am and Sunday from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.
  • Each item will have its sales price listed on the game.
  • Prices will change (at the seller’s discretion) at 2 pm and again at 4pm. This allows potential buyers to choose to wait for a price drop and pick the game up at a lower amount if it’s still around for purchase. Example: Game item has been listed for 11 am price of $40, 2 pm price of $35, and 4 pm price of $30.
  • Any TCTC attendee can browse the Used Marketplace and if they find something they’d like to buy, they bring it to the cashier and pay the appropriate listed price (no silent auction mad rush!).
  • At the Used Marketplace closing time, no more sales are allowed and our volunteers work on cashing out the sellers. Sellers can pick up their items that haven’t sold, leave them for Sunday, or donate them to TCTC.

How to Pre-register Items

  1. Pre-register your games for $2 per lot per day (Day-of registrations will be accepted at $5 per lot). Pre-registration ends Friday March 3 at 10 pm Thursday, March 9 at noon (date has been extended).
  2. Fill out our Google Form.
  3. Print and fill out an Item Sales sheet.
  4. Attach one Item Sales sheet to each lot. Use painter’s tape to attach the Item Sales sheet to your lot. If your lot has multiple items, please try to tape/use an elastic to keep the items together.
  5. Bring your items and registration fees to the TCTC Used Marketplace on Saturday, March 11 between 9 and 11:30 am, or Sunday, March 12 between 9 and 10:30 am.

  • Bring your items and registration fees to the TCTC Used Marketplace on Saturday, March 11 between 9 and 11:30 am, or Sunday, March 12 between 9 and 10:30 am.

FAQ

Q: What fee does TCTC charge me for selling my game?
A: TCTC charges a rate of $2 per lot per day for pre-registered items, and $5 per lot for day-of registrations. Money is collected when you drop your games off at the Marketplace. If you put an item in the market on Saturday but want to relist on Sunday, you’ll be charged the lower $2 fee.

Q: If I just want to show up to check out the Marketplace, do I still have to pay the entry fee for TCTC?
A:
 Yes.

Q: If I bring games on Saturday, but am not attending Sunday, can I keep my games in the market for Sunday?
A: No. You must have a valid ticket for the day you plan to cash out.

Q: How many items can I put up for the Marketplace?
A: At this time there is no limit.

Q. What items can be sold at the Marketplace?
A:
Any board game, RPG, or tabletop-gaming related item. Related items would include CCGs, miniatures, and terrain pieces. We have the right to reject items that we don’t feel are suitable.

Q: What is the final time to enter items for the Marketplace?
A:
We will only accept items up to 11:30 am on Saturday and 10:30 am on Sunday.

Q: Can I enter multiple games as a single lot?
A:
 Yes.

Q: My game didn’t sell on Saturday, can I re-list for Sunday?
A: Yes. If you are re-listing an item for Sunday please confirm with the Used Marketplace staff on Saturday. They will see if you want to adjust prices for Sunday. You’ll be charged a $2 re-list fee.

Q: My games didn’t sell, can I donate them to TCTC?
A: Yes! Just let the Used Marketplace volunteers know when you cash out.

Q: I bought a game, but its missing pieces!
A: Unless a game is in its original shrink, it is considered used and as such, might be missing pieces. We assume sellers will list the game appropriately on their slip and TCTC assumes no liability for missing pieces.
